Before OoP came out, I voted for Hagrid to die, principally, I now
realise, but I don't care about him much. My Sirius forebodings also
started pretty early, though I kept trying to deny it and come up with
reasons why JKR needed him alive. After Harry's dream I came up with a
lengthy scenario about Snape rescuing him, thereby healing himself a
bit that he's at last done for Harry what he failed to do when J&L
died, as well as proving to Sirius that he really is a good guy now,
and lots of future potential in a changed Snape/Harry scenario, but it
was all a dream. Sirius is dead <chokes>, gone, no more, and I really
don't think he?s coming back.
Goes off to sob into the keyboard.
