Sorry, haven't read all the posts - there just isn't time. 
Did anyone notice how cleverly Joanne Rowling inserted the name of 
John Dee into the text? John Dee lived at the time of Elizabeth the 
First and was a well-known alchemist. Just another indication that 
the series is an alchemical message. Alchemy, or at least spiritual 
alchemy, is the method of turning the base metals of the earth-bound 
person into the gold of the divine, immortal and totally spiritual 
human being. That is Liberation. That is what Harry Potter is really 
about.
