Hey guys. Thought I would throw this out... please don't pummel me
with dungmbombs if you are not in agreement!!

I was slightly relieved that Sirius was the one who died. DON'T GET
ME WRONG-by no means did I WANT Sirius to die. I have to be honest
and say that throughout the book, I kept changing my mind as to who
it was going to be, and I became increasingly terrified that it would
be Ron, Hermione, or Hagrid. Here is why:

Although Harry felt a link to his parents through Sirius, Harry had
never really spent a great deal of time with Sirius, therefore they
never really had a chance to get close (therein lies the real
tragedy - the loss of opportunity to form a real bond). Even Lupin
got to share a whole year with Harry working on fighting boggarts and
producing a Patronus. There is a gentleness to Lupin's treatment of
Harry, as Sirius had always seemed somewhat reluctant to open up.

IMHO, the closest people in Harry's life are Ron, Hagrid, and
Hermione. He has spent the most time with these three, shared the
most experiences with them. I hate to be the lone ranger here, but I
think the death of one of these three characters would have been the
most devastating, and I am afraid that there are more deaths to come
that may involve one of them.

Anyone else feeling this way? Or am I the ONLY muggle...

Brooke
