SLYTHERIN only wanted to admit purebloods. The rest were willing to

Now Me:

Which leads me to ask - Why did the sorting hat lead Harry to believe
that he would *ever* be chosen for Slytherin (being that he is *not*
a pureblood)?

And.. wasn't Tom Riddle (a half blood) in Slytherin?

And.. How would Salazar Slytherin feel about his Heir (TR) being a
Half-Blood?

Or.. Is it more about the feelings you have regarding Muggles and
Purebloods than your actual lineage that counts.

Either way, surely the Song has got to dispell any concerns Harry may
still have about being nearly chosen for Slytherin - the sorting hat
wouldn't have been doing it's job if it chose a half blood that didnt
consider all muggles as scum as a Slytherin

Just a thought
