OOP: Harry's Patronus

I've puzzled on that too.  I also have puzzled at the descriptions 
we have had about Patroni(?) before that; ie.: Lupin's on the train 
and Dumbledore's at the first Quidditch match.  Nobody could give an 
accurate description of them.  They are both described as silvery 
stuff, or something silvery.  (I don't have PoA in front of me, but 
this question has always intrigued me.)

Perhaps they are not that distinct unless you know what you are 
looking for.  Perhaps the majority of people were more interested in 
the game and the battle for the Snitch to take in a distraction like 
a silvery patronus.  Few knew exactly what it was so few bothered 
thinking about it.  Now some of the teachers would have noticed, 
especially Dumbledore and Lupin who had an interest in the Patronus 
and in the Pseudo-Dementors.
