I talked about the idea that Snape's behavior when he caught Harry and Draco
about to duel near the end of the book and Harry's "rush of hatred" could be
partly because Snape's cover had been blown sometime during the book and he
no longer had to be a spy. (I also mentioned this is probably full of holes)

Well I was thinking of the time Harry and Dumbledore looked at eachother and
Voldemort reacted. It just seemed a bit similar.

Yes, that is unless he couldn't get his hands on Snape.
I dunno, Harry's reaction to seeing Snape was probably not due to Voldemort
(it was just an interesting idea) but I can't think of why Snape would act
the way he did. Normally I would have expected him to yell and take loads of
points and after the pensive scene I would have expected a lot worse. But
instead we got a curt "Put that wand away at once" and an attempt to take
away ten points. It seemed very out of character.
