I know the chapter says it is, but I would be really surprised if what Harry
saw was Snape's worst memory. You are, indeed, right that there is much we
don't know.

First off, Snape had intended to avoid this confrontation. He wanted to talk
to Harry alone, but Black wouldn't leave.
Second, Black was first to draw his wand. Black stood up and Snape, seeming
to realize it was likely to come to a fight "balled his fist in the pocket
of his cloak over what Harry was sure was the handle of his wand". A few
seconds later, "Sirius pushed his chair roughly aside and strode around the
table toward Snape, pulling out his wand as he went; Snape whipped out his
own".

Personally, I don't think that SS=HP and DM=JP or SS=DM and HP=JP are really
true. I think there are similarities between the lot of them and just as
many differences.

Obviously, I was never a kid then. And neither were the great majority of my
peers.

I prefer to keep the little respect I have for Harry and believe that he
would not do that to Draco if he thought he could get away with it. I don't
think Harry would do something like that without a really, really good
reason.

Sure it does. Dudley beats up anyone who annoys him. James hexes anyone who
annoys him.
Sorry for all the snips, I wanted to keep this short and not too redundant.
