Well, I don't think it's actually been stated that he's a Slytherin 
although it's heavily implied... plus you'd think Harry'd notice that 
Snape's got Gryffie robes on in his memory...

I agree, Snape has got bravery in spades, but he's also got cunning 
in spades too... one wonders if he was offered a choice of house, 
like Harry... :smirk:
