Me:
Absolute proof, no. Strong suggestion yes.
"Percy directed the girls through one door to their dormitory and the
boys through another. At the top of a spiral staircase...they found
their beds at last: five four poster beds hung with deep red, velvet
curtains" (SS p.130)
According to JKR's (iffy) student count, there are loads of Unnamed
Ones. But these dont nessicarily have to be in Harry's year,
afterall, it wasn't the greatest time to be having kids, there are
probably more in the latest years and the youngest years.
I've always been of the opinion that the houses dont have ballence
enrollment. How can they when the hat is supposed to pick the house
best for the student. If there aren't five brave girls, then
Gryffindor doesn't get five girls.
Insidently, how may Slytherin 5th years are there? I can only think
of six. Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise, Pansy, and Millicent. Does any
body know any others?
