Sharai & other Petunia-ites, I confess that my affection for Mrs.
Dursley rises quite a lot from the fact that her actress, Fiona
Shaw, is my favorite in the world, and I hope that Petunia is a
witch so that we see more Ms. Shaw!

There are other Petunia-ites? Well, that warms my heart! I admit
that my interest in the character springs largely from Ms. Shaw's
performance as well. I've liked her ever since Super Mario Bros. You
have to love an actress who not only enjoys but prefers weirdo
roles. ^_^

That being said, I don't know if Petunia's a witch. I think I like
her better as a frustrated Muggle. My theory is that being a Muggle
is what Petunia does best, and so that's what she does. She lacks
imagination and (probably) any other particular talent, so she's
thrown herself into the one area in which she excels: being a
Dursley.

Meanwhile, it's hard for me to imagine someone hating her sister so
much that she would effectively kill her nephew. Petunia is
neurotic, but not crazy. If Dumbledore made it clear that throwing
Harry out is the same as killing him, I think even she would have a
lot of trouble doing it. Besides, it's fun to play the martyr!

Remember my last = most annoying line ever. What does it
mean?!?!?!?! Dumbledore never explains, and Harry never asks. I love
that Petunia is beginning to show that she knows more than she lets
on, but does it have to be so darn vague? When is book six out??
