AiiiiiEeeee! Blinding headache! We see Draco in 5th year being thoroughly
obnoxious. I am so tired of him. The "James-as-Draco" parallel has already
been drawn. (Although I'd like to rebut that in another post. But, assuming
for the moment that it's true...) Carrying that forward plays right into the

Redeemable!Draco camp...and we end 7th year with Hermione heading off into
the sunset with the new improved Draco...

Now me -

However there is one big difference between the two situations. James
appears to like, or at least be neutral to, Lily in his fifth year. Draco
can't seem to stand Hermione - in fact his attitude towards her is much more
comparable to Pensieve!Snape's attitude towards Lily than Pensieve!James'
attitude. James obviously *wanted* to become the kind of person Lily would
like, whereas currently at least, Draco doesn't seem to give two hoots what
hermione thinks of him.

I can see why people like Reedeemable!Draco but I think JKR is far more
likely to follow a redemtion theme with Peter than with Draco. I am *firmly*
convinced that Peter will die saving Harry's life, after having killed Remus
Actually I always saw Remus dying heroically delaying Peter long enough for
Harry or someone to escape but after everything Remus now has to blame on
Peter I'm beginning to wonder if Peter won't kill him in self-defence when
our normally reliable werewolf does something reckless in an attempt to kill
Peter and avenge his dead friends.
