Yeah, a real gamut of emotions and growth out of Harry this time.
Harry is angry 
Harry is snarky 
Harry loses his temper
Harry is REALLY angry
Harry refuses to ask for help because he's angry
Harry's temper costs him his privileges, so he's angry about that
Harry is insensitive to others' feelings
(repeat ad nauseum)

While this is a new side of Harry, it the only side we see for 870 pages.  
Not what *I* call character development.
