Is there not another interpretation of 'and either must die by the
hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives' - I
read it as that BOTH of them must kill each other - but as Ali goes
on to say, Neville looks much more credible in this book as a
contender to 'the power to vanquish...'
As Ali states:
>
> Harry's mark his scar, is visible, but marks need not be visible.
> Harry bears the mark of his mother's love (p.216 PS), but it is
> invisible to the eye. Neville could bear invisible as yet, un-
> revealed marks, that would show a different destiny.

There's another fishy thing about this Neville-Harry choice - Harry,
in PoA, DOESN'T see the Thestrals - therefore, he DIDN'T see his
parents die. Neville, on the other hand, does see them in OotP; I
don't think we're told if he does in PoA.. What are we to make of the
various interpretations of the 'killing scene' from this?
Once again, Harry is referred to as a 'half-blood', by Dumbledore. Is
this because Lily was born to Muggles, thereby being a MudBlood, or
is there something else going on?
Cheers. AmanitaMuscaria
