  I was not that shocked. I think Harry was just doing what any trained
auror would have done in the same circumstance. Remember, Bellatrix is a
known user of the unforgivables, particularly the cruciatus curse in the
torture of the Longbottoms. I think Harry believed, ( and I do too), that
she would have had no problem using it on him. So kudos to Harry, shoot
first or be shot.
