Me says:

And remember, JKR is always throwing hints at us, and I can't help 
remembering when Ron looked in the Mirror of Erised, and saw himself 
as Quidditch Captain and Head Boy....he seems to be well on his way 
as of the end of OoP.

May not come to pass, of course, but given past hints that have come 
true, you never know!
