But also keep in mind that there was a point at the very time to 
having Ron attacked by a brain- that is, to take him out of the 
picutre so that Harry is forced to be more and more alone. I mean, 
Hermione get's knocked out, Ginny gets her ankle broken, Neville is 
smashed in the face...etc  They all get somehow injured so that it 
keeps coming down to Harry alone. So, whilst I am interested into 
what the brain could mean, at the moment, I just think it was a way 
of taking Ron out of the 'fighting scene' so that Harry was forced to 
act alone with less and less support. Unless, you also think that 
Neville being hit with the tapdancing spell has huge relevance, other 
that preventing him to walk so that Harry carries him and loses the 
prophecy?? I would like the brains, at least, an explanation of what 
they are, to come into the story, but at this point I don't think 
that Ron being attacked by them will have any more relevance beyond 
the actual event where he became injured.
