OOP :Any ideas on Crookshanks role in future books ( containes major OOP SPOILER )

I was wondering if Crookshanks knows of the demise of Sirius since he 
seems to have some magical power.  Since POA he has been subtley in 
the subsequent books and seems to have had some connection to Sirius. 
I have read the theory that he is part kneazle but I think its more 
than that as he seems almost human.  Any thoughts?
