I agree this makes sense, but it doesn't matter what exactly caused 
the Gleam, the fact is that Voldemort having Harry's blood prevents 
him from killing Harry the same way Petunia's blood protects Harry 
(and it seems Voldemort hasn't realized this yet). 

As I haven't had the chance to read the book yet I can't form a 
complete idea about the Prophecy stuff, but many people believe that 
there is more to the prophecy than what is in the book, and this is 
probably the truth. Dumbledore knows a lot more than he tells 
people; the graveyard scene makes him realize that Voldemort hasn't 
changed and keeps on underestimating people and events.
