the name game? :)

Hello Everyone,

I'm new, so forgive my ignorance!  :)  I've really enjoyed reading 
the posts the last few days, lots of insight that i'd never thought 
of before. 

Anyway...I hope I'm not being repeatitive or absolutley ridiculous 
by asking this but:

Has anyone else ever noticed how JKR seems to make many of her 
character's names start with the same letter?  For example:
Minerva McGonagal
Severus Snape
Luna Lovegood
Pansy Parkinson
Cho Chang
Dudley Dursley
and even the "Hogwart Founders"
Godrick Gryffindor
Salazar Slytherin
Rowina Ravenclaw
Helga Hufflepuff
(i think i got those right)

these are just a few example of when she's named a character and the 
first and last name start with the same letter.  is there any 
significance in this or is it just to make it easy on JKR?  Anyone 
care to take a stab at it?  :)
