The lack of cauldrons and assembled ingredients is a dead giveaway, as far as
I'm concerned, but I'm not sure Draco is swift enough to pick up on it.
Snape has, in fact, used his wand in Potions class, usually to empty a
cauldron. As I recall, he also used it to restore Trevor in other books.
But is Draco in the habit of barging into Snape's office without knocking? I
suppose, as a Slytherin Prefect, he would have reason to consult with the
Head of Slytherin House frequently, but still, I can't see Snape permitting this
kind of intrusion.
