is one aspect of Dumbledore that I absolutely love is his sarcasm.
It is really refreshing to see a character like him still maintain
his sense of humor. Even in turbulent times like the Wizarding
world is in.

I believe Albus D. uses humor to deflect telling truths he'd rather
not. One glaring example is his reply to what he sees when he looks
into the Mirror of Erised...he says he sees himself holding a pair
of wooly socks. (Too bad he's not a house-elf assigned to clean
around Hermione...he'd be swimming in socks...)
