Well, Shef that's a horrible thought. Don't you think being trapped 
for all eternity in some middle realm between death and life or just 
behind that veil, with no means of coming back, not even as a ghost 
which would at least give him a sort of life is indefinitely worse 
than being dead for sure? At least when you're dead you can move on, 
but as you describe it it'd be worse than Azkaban. I wouldn't wish 
that on my worst enemy.
