We all know that names carry a lot of importance in the HP universe, and there tends to be a lot of characteristics assiciated with character's names: Albus (white), Sirius (dog), Lupin (a reference to being a wherewolf), and especially the flowers Narcissa (named after the narcissus flower, which in turn, was named for a particularly vain greek god who fell in love with his own reflection), Lily, Petunia, Pansy and so forth.

Anyway, I was reading the OoP for the second time when I came across a reference that escaped me the first:
"So who've you been beating up tonight?" Harry asked, his grin fading. "Another ten-year-old? I know you did Mark Evans two nights ago -- "
We know that Lily Potter's maiden name was Evans, as mentioned in chapter 28, and known previously through an interview with JKR.

The point I'm trying to make in a roundabout sort of fashion, is that based on the names, it seems possible that Harry still has some living relatives, albeit more distant than Petunia Dursley, and most likely Muggle, but relatives anyway. It could also be a slip on the part of the author, but I'm guessing not. Since Sirius is now dead, maybe Harry will find other members of his family that he hadn't previously known about, and (this is slightly off the topic of my post) will maybe become closer with Remus Lupin, since he is the last person that Harry knows was close to his parents.

"Give five signs that identify the werewolf:...
One: he's sitting in my chair; two: he's wearing my clothes; three: his name's Remus Lupin..."
