Me:
We aren't given full information about this veil and how falling
behind it works. I am sure it will come up later but I am also
certain Sirius is dead. DEAD. JKR loves literary fancy but she pulls
no punches with something as serious as death. A death that we don't
understand is still a death. I am sure she wanted it that way. She is
so intrigued by what comes after this life but she's left many deaths
unexplained. Later she may explain how exactly Sirius' death occured
but she would not have cried as she wrote the scene had it merely
been a plot device.
