I'm not saying the murder of his parents wasn't enough motivation. 
Perhaps Sirius's death gave him the extra anger he needed to go out 
and fight.

Honestly I think Sirius made up more of a reason in Harry's mind to fight for the defeat of Voldie.  I mean who does Harry want after his death, who does he try to communicate with?  Who does he want to see?  It's not his parents, it's Sirius.  Sirius became family to Harry and sadly I"m not sure Harry will ever truly get over Sirius's death.  I mean how can you?
