I agree with this, it is part of Harry's journey to maturity. Book 5 
went a long way in showing him that he has to start to control his 
anger and the impulsive way he reacts.I'm sure by the beginning of 
Book 6 he will have grieved for Sirius but also acknowledged his own 
part in the tragedy.
