Me:
Actually, the prophecy doesn't say anything about 'the final
confrontation' it says that Harry has the *potental power* to
vanquish Voldie, and (in the easiest interpretation) that Harry or
Voldie will 'die' 'by the others hand.' Literaly this could be taken
to mean that one may physicaly choke the other to death. Generaly
this is taken to mean that one will be 'vanquished' in a wizards duel
between the two, aka wands, no contact. Loosely, this could mean that
one of the two is primarily responcible for the others death. In this
interpretation, if depression/promptings caused by Voldie prompt
Harry to take a swan dive off the Astronomy tower, then Harry
died 'by the others hand' and the prophecy is forfilled.
~Calimora (Who hates prophecies because language is too imprecise to
allow for absolute interpretation.)
