Actually I think hermoine has developed quite a lot really. She still 
knows everything and every story needs a good brain BUT she is also 
very clever and quick thinking which was not fully developed in the 
previous books. How smart was luring the umbridge poor excuse for a 
person into the forest to let the centaurs deal with her? Unless its 
just me, but when I was reading that scene, I was thinking that there 
was no way out for them, and then she comes up with that. Another 
classic.
