Now me: No doubt that James seems arrogant. In the first book,
Dumbeldore did not want Harry to know that Harry was celebrity,
special to WW. Dumbeldore must had seen James arrogance and wanted
Harry to become good at heart. And prof. told Harry in 5th book that
Harry's humanity, good heart made him keep Voldemort away from his
body, not his mind( lack of mind control thru occlumency).
