I think Snape definitely loathes Harry. It's a very personal, irrational 
thing with him; he hates Harry because Harry reminds him of James who 
really was a jerk to him. He just flat-out assumes that Harry is like his 
father, when in fact he isn't. He's bitter and holding onto a grudge from 
the past. I don't think he's "pretending" to hate him at all either.

I really would like to see Snape at least realize that Harry isn't arrogant 
or a bully the way James was, but I really doubt it's going to happen. I 
don't see it as being very likely that Harry will ever see Snape 
differently either. In my opinion that scene with the Pensieve really 
called for an apology on Harry's part, which he never even thought of 
offering. And he was still willing to blame him for Sirius' death. He was 
distraught at the time, but still. Somehow I really don't expect to be 
seeing hugs and kisses between those two anytime soon.
