Ahhh, an ally, I was beginning to think the entire Severus fan club
would be coming on me in the dozens and I'd be all alone. :b

A general Post to answer the stream of incomings in this debate.

James' was not so bad. We are all tricked, by the memory, into
ignoring that James' was overall a rebel against things of poor
character. If we are to make a judgement about James' senses and his
life on that day we are to look at every miniscule detail. From the
snitch to the exam to the very last comment it has to be put together
as James. JK has deliberately highlighted the negative aspect to
glaze over what we should be looking at about James.
Frankly, I am saying, we consistently ask the question why did
Voldemort want James', the answer is in there.
James was a gung ho crusader against all things that smelled evil.

He was a right little Bleeeeeep about it too. No holds barred
absolute oppositional. To a degree where his contempt for bad
character lead him to be such a complete backside he has even managed
to legacy his son with a disturbing extreme of it.
Sirius also felt this way about the dark side. I am not saying they
were wise men. In fact, that they weren't, is exactly my point.
They were the marauders, in every bitter way opposed to dark wizards,
beyond repute. They were a couple of self-righteous little toads in
some ways, but they stood on a good principle and in so doing were
inherently honourable.
Oh I am just blithering now.
I have to be strong here..c.c.can't l.l.let them h.h..hate Ja..James.
