I took it as Dumbledore's familiarity with He Who Must Not Be 
Named's history and as a sort of appeal to the child who later 
became You Know Who (remember Sean Connery calling Harrison 
Ford "Indiana in "Last Crusade?"). I agree with Tamara that it also 
brings You Know Who down a peg or two psychologically, reminding him 
of his youth and Dumbledore's age and wisdom, perhaps even favour, 
in teaching him during that younger period.
