I also think he was slightly shocked at Harry's reaction. Snape
always said Harry was like James, but when he saw Harry's face,
Harry wasn't laughing at all... Maybe it would have been easier for
Snape to see Harry laughing, just like James. Snape asked Harry if
he was having fun....Harry said no. He threw Harry on the dungeon
floor and Harry did nothing. This would have totally confused Snape,
he has always believed Harry is like James, but I now think he is
realising that Harry is more like Lily and that makes him more angry
and upset, because she never loved him....Hope I haven't confused
anyone?

ME:
I'm totally in with this theory. I think Snape is realizing more
and more that Harry isn't as much like James as he thought and more
like Lily. It's just like with the eye thing "Harry's got Lily's
eyes". Of course the book is always making references that Snape is
reminded of James in Harry, but I wonder if it's not more Lily he
sees and maybe some rejection is felt all over again every time
Snape looks at Harry?? I also think Snape was more shocked Harry
wasn't laughing at the memory than Harry actually having seen it.
Either way it appears that both of Harry's parents hurt Snape in
some way or other, so that marks Harry doubly for mistreatment from
Snape in my opinion.
