I have a very hard time seeing Percy with the Dark Mark on his arm,
> calling Voldemort the Dark Lord and using Crucio on people who
don't> agree with him. Not even Percy has that much hatred in him.
All he wants is to be the very best Minister of Magic the WW has ever
seen, not rid the world of Muggles and Mudbloods. Turning his back
on his family was a selfish and stupid thing to do, but it doesn't
make him an evil person.

Again, though, he's turned his back on one role model, and has found
out his surrogate role-model (Fudge) was wrong all along. This kid is
really hurting right now, and I think that, combined with his
ambition and pride, is a dangerous combination.
I tend to believe he will find his way back to his family, but I'm
not sure what will happen in the meantime. I just tried to point out
that the situation he has gotten himself into has nothing to do with
the fact the Fred and George annoyed him (which I think was alleged
in an earlier post.)
He's extremely vulnerable right now and can make the wrong choice.
It's hard to imagine Percy using Crucio, etc..., but I bet if you
asked James, Lily and Sirius if they could ever imagine Wormtail
snuffing the life out of an innocent kid like Cedric Diggory without
a second thought, they would have said no.
