I'm the proponent of Percy working undercover for the Order. I hadn't
thought about Percy's letter to Ron as a warning. I was really
excited about this idea and reread that section (p297-298 US Edition).
I guess it kind of sounded like it could be Percy's intention to have
Ron not piss OUW off but I don't think it really helps the undercover
theory. Maybe he was using the letter to try to get Ron to
disassociate from Harry for Ron's safety. We have to admit that Ron's
friendship with Harry has cost him a lot of close calls and actual
admissions to the hospital wing. And we all know things are going to
get worse.
