Hmm, I still think me version is more likely, and I would be very annoyed
with JKR if she deliberately censored this scene to the point which you are
suggesting just so she could throw us a red herring. Harry seems to be so
fixated on his father I have trouble believing he would miss something like
that. I sincerely hope that JKR wouldn't do this, it would be a rather
horrible trick and the set up is so flimsy that I don't think I could ever
forgive her.
