OOP: Dobby apparated/disapparated in Hogwarts?!

In the beginning of OotP, a cracking noise reminds Harry of the sound 
that Dobby made whenever he disappeared.  That made me realize that 
Dobby did in fact apparate and disapparate INSIDE Hogwarts (when 
Harry is in the infirmary)in CoS--which everyone says is not 
possible. Does this mean that Dobby has deeper powers that we have 
thought?  I dunno. 

If this idea has already been discussed to death by you brilliant 
people somewhere else, please direct me to the correct thread. Thanks.
