(Draco) would go running to daddy to say that Snape is in the Harry
Potter fan club - that wouldn't bode well. Part of the beauty of
Snape working on the side of the good is that he can intermingle so
well on the side of the bad. Everyone at

I have to add that Snape wasn't really as awful to Harry during the
Occlumency lessons as he has been in other circumstances. Harry did
not speak to him with respect and had a downright hostile attitude
but Snape answered all his questions and genuinely tried to show him
what he was to do, accepting the risk of Harry breaking into his
memories.
Supposing that Snape must pretend to hate Harry when they are in
public, he can't exactly be decent to Harry in private either. He
probably doesn't trust Harry to pretend to hate him as well as he
does.
