OOP: Cruciatus Curse: The Intent can be just as bad

Okay I see where you are all heading with this and intention is 
important to outcome.  But did anyone think that the reason the surse 
failed was Harry's inability to commit to the curse even whilst 
performing it? The power behind the curses comes from the wizard's 
intent (as Dumbledore points out), so even though he went through the 
motions of casting it failed.  If he had truly intend pain or death 
wouldn't it be more likely that he would have cast Avada Kedavra, the 
killing curse?
