I'm mildly surprised at the number of people who expressed
dislike/disappointment over OotP. I personally thought it was not
only stellar, but easily my favorite of all 5.
Whether that says more about me or about the book is subject to
interpretation.

P.S. It was also, to my mind, far and away the funniest, as well
*****
I absolutely loved this one as well! I also am surpised that so many people didn't. I loved Angry!Harry and empathized with him so much that I went to work after reading about two thirds of the book and felt like snapping at every customer who looked like they *might* give me a hard time. I was carrying around Harry's anger, which was not a great thing to be in a job where you smile and wish everyone a wonderful day no matter what.
I also adored Fred and George, the DA, Luna Lovegood, and the character development of Ginny and Neville. I felt like this book will be a bridge between the first four and the next two, into a different world for Harry and all us fans.
I'm still placing it second to PoA, but only because Sirius is alive in that one and it's been my favorite for quite some time. I'm sure a few more read-throughs of OoP will force me to make the change putting it at the top of my favorites list.
Have an action-packed, fun-filled day.
