Can you show some canon for "continual digs"? Sirius takes Snape's
reports to the Order personally. It might be that Snape uses them
to taunt Sirius, it might be not. We only have Sirius's word for it.
When Snape talks to Harry about occlumency lessons, Sirius had no 
business being there, period. Snape came on Dumbledore's orders,
and anyway, what Sirius expected, he'll stab Harry with kitchen knife if 
left alone?
I also find it very telling that people leave this scene with the 
impression that Snape draws his wand first, when actually it was Sirius. 
Sirius was also the first to drag their history to the conversation 
(Snivellus).
Sadly, Sirius won't be doing any growing up.
