The entire scene where Snape lets Harry know he will teach him Occlumency,
Snape insults Sirius and insinuates that Sirius is a coward.

In the end, when Harry protests that Snape was picking on Sirius, D-Dore
doesn't deny it, but points out that Sirius wasn't going to fly off the handle
based on just that.

He was Harry's godfather and therefore the man Lily and James wanted
taking care of Harry. Furthermore, it was his house.

Period.

>Snape came on Dumbledore's orders, and anyway, what Sirius expected,
he'll stab Harry with kitchen knife if left alone?

What's Snape afraid of, having Sirius in the room, then? Seems like he adapts
pretty well, diving right into insults and taunts.

-- Wonder who invented the idea that "period" at the end of sentences
somehow gives the sentences more impact?
