Now Me: 

Yes GulPlum is right. And if we believe what Tom Riddle says in CoS. 
Dumbledore persuaded Dippet to keep Hagrid and *train* him as 
gamekeeper. We don't know how long Hagrid was Keeper-in-training and 
he could still have been in training when Arthur and Molly went to 
school. 

You know, I've always thought of Hagrid as older than the Potter's 
and yet younger than the Weasley's. So I assumed they went to school 
before Hagrid. Perhaps it's just because he's so Young-at-Heart!
