I was just wondering about your comment that Harry saw Buckbeak
fly free. I know he told Trelawney he saw that, but I've always had
the impression that he at least thought he made it up. Doesn't he say
something to the effect of remembering that Ron had made up
his "prediction" when he doesn't see anything? And then he goes on to
tell his "prediction." Personally, I *do* feel he really "saw" it,
but he just assumed he was making it up. I suppose he could have
truly made it up as well; you know, saying that to sort of comfort
himself or even to burst Trelawney's little bubble of excitement she
gets when she *sees* something terrible happening. ;-)
Please correct me if I'm way off base. Any more thoughts?
