Excellent, excellent point! Just as an addendum, I'd like to point
out that, although it's not the same thing, Hermione does sign her
notes to Harry "Love from Hermione." (I found that in Prisoner of
Azkaban, but it could be elsewhere in canon.)
I don't know if Brits put any more emphasis on the way they close
their letters than we do, so could someone from across the pond fill
this clueless Yank in on the way one would typically end a message
sent to a friend?
