While it's true that nobody's ever said "I love you" to Harry, it seems to
me that he should know how well he's loved by sheer dint of his existence.
Harry was told by Dumbledore sometime in PS/SS that he was saved because of
his mother's love for him. I could see this causing problems as he grows up,
possibly believing that everyone who loves him dies, but I'm sure he knows
that he's loved.
