I can see why you're headed in this direction, but I fail to see why would Lupin's parents would put one kid, Remus, in Hogwarts and the other, Romulus (if he exists), in Durmstrang ? It just doesn't make sense - especially if there is a magical quill in Hogwarts which notes down the names of children magical enough to go to Hogwarts.
