I'm so torn on this issue (as I am with many of the Snape issues).  I
refuse to join in with the LOLLIPOPs group--I just can't see Snape
being in love with Lily.  However--the vampire thing?  I really just
don't know.  I do think he is at least an animagus bat.  JKR has said
that the animals that the characters do turn into reflect their
personalities, and there are many bat references that surround the
charatcter that is Snape.
