But Sirius, in a kind of way, is a mental vampire towards Harry, 
because he tries to influence him, because he fascinates him.
He's rather dangerous. Would he be so attractive to both Harry and 
the reader if he wasn't? Plus, he's from an old aristocratic wizard 
family, he's handsome even after twelve years in Azkaban, etc, etc...
He could be a very classical vampire, no?
And it's true that the first portraits of him JKR gives us remind 
the way she depicts Snape. They both could have been designed by 
Aubrey Beardsley, they both share the same kind of theatrical 
appearances. It can't be a coincidence, but I confess that I can't 
explain it for the moment.
