  Simply put, I think because there is a time when children treat 
anyone 'different' as a pariah. Those awful middle school years, 
especially. I thought the part about her posting up a notice asking 
for her things back was especially poignant and meaningful. It really 
humanized those who are different, laughed at, the 'weird.' 
 
 Luna sees the world in a different way. It's not necessarily bad. As 
for my own prediction, my own prophecy... I predict that she and her 
father come back from their little holiday in Sweden having caught 
that Crumple Horned Snorkak. ;)
